The English Lavender Farm

In the summer months we offer U-pick and you can sit on our shady patio to enjoy a cool glass of lavender lemonade and an ice cream. A visit to the drying barn where we distill lavender essential oil is always interesting and informative. We sell lavender plants and a wide range of handmade lavender products which are created right here on the farm. Applegate River Lavender Farm

Please check our website for specific hours and availability. We are a small, family-owned and operated lavender farm that began welcoming visitors in 2011. We are nestled along the Applegate River, 15 miles north of Applegate Lake near the little town of Ruch, Oregon. Our 5-acre farm nurtures 1,000 lavender plants of seven varieties (Ana Luisa, Ms. Katherine, Royal Purple, Alba, Grosso, Gros Bleu and Hidcote Giant), keeping the bees busy during the warm summer season. We enjoy sharing our farm with the public and never tire of our guests’ smiling faces as they experience the stunning sights and smells of an ocean of purple. Our shop is in a large barn surrounded by shady walnut and maple trees. An open grassy area with a swing and picnic tables invites visitors to relax, unwind and escape life’s stresses. We are committed to sustainable farming practices and minimizing single-use plastic in everything we do. We hand harvest and distill each lavender variety separately in small batches–using only the flowers allowing the distinct characteristics to shine through. We offer a range of artisanal essential oils and handcrafted lavender products. Refreshing lavender lemonade and treats are also available. Visitors may harvest fresh lavender bundles, or we are happy to prepare it for you. We also offer a variety of informative classes and farm experiences. Stop by to see a large selection of Lavender varieties & then visit all of the venues - entirely free of charge - to enjoy the sight, smell & taste of lavender! Our farms are open in June & July when the lavender is generally in full bloom. Dos Mariposas

Our 27 acres overlooks the Table Rocks to the North, with views of Mt McLoughlin to the East. With three generations living onsite, the farm is lovingly tended to by everyone, including the littlest helpers. Dos Mariposas, which means two butterflies, was named for our girls, Amelia and Adeline, who are already expert grape harvesters. Little Finley, who joined the family in 2020, is quickly learning his way around the farm and longs to drive the tractor. 2022 is poised to be a big summer for us! Construction is underway on the tasting room and farm stand, which we hope to have open by the first lavender festival weekend in late June. With 16 lavender varieties, there are plenty of options to make your own beautiful bundle and we have a growing selection of lavender products available in the farm stand. On select days, we will be operating our mobile lavender still so you can see the oil distillation process in action. Check Facebook or Instagram for demonstration dates and times.
